Working at octal games
- Define initial storylines and character biographies
- Transform design specification into functional game assets
- Establish an effective strategy and pipeline
- Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable codes
- Develop the base engine to run games e.g. P2E or multiplayer games
- Create storyboards and game scripts
- Work on the audio and graphic designs
- Collaborate with designers to animate game characters
- Write and execute unit tests for quality assurance
- Maintain code, identify bottlenecks, and fix bugs in the applications
- Document game specifications and operating instructions
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 2-3 years of industry experience in game development
- Excellent knowledge of latest gaming trends, technologies, and best practices
- High-working command over programming languages like C#, C++
- In-depth working knowledge of Unity3D game engine
- Good knowledge in areas such as artificial intelligence, 3D animation, 3D Rendering, multiplayer/networking, graphics, scripting, etc.
- Understanding of the game production pipeline process
- Excellent problem solving, communication and graphic design skills
- Strong troubleshooting and project management skills
- Understanding of AR/VR technologies
